Fake Russian tournaments

Postby Dark Riku » Tue 18 Feb, 2014 12:09 am

Does anyone know what is going on here °_O

http://kod-dow.ucoz.ru/news/night_cup_2 ... -02-06-192
http://kod-dow.ucoz.ru/forum/36-1567-1

Google translate helped. What I can make of this is fake Russian tournaments and results.
For what purpose I can't tell :/

Can anyone get onto these forums?
Or are there any Russians here that can help figure this one out?

Bizarre stuff ~~ 1350 euro prize money, if only :D

As we all would expect, Hammer stomped Riku. But wow that Fanu guy is really good, he took a game off Hammer and nearly beat him!

Maybe Tex can explain all this seeing as he's posting on that one forum in Russian.

Hard to figure out a reason for this luls, maybe they collect money for the prize pool...??? Although then people would want to see some games... Wat da zog indeed

50 Ruble = 1 Euro

Euros are pretty cool.
The coins expecially. Every nation has the same coins but with a different tail.
And they can change it or make limited editions, so every time you pay for stuff with the coins is like playing with trading cards.

That's Australia, not Europe.

You are an active member of the clan, Riku. I would give you a link but cannot paste it in the form for some reason. You have to trust me, you are in the list of the clan members. What is going on there? It is hard to say. Even for a guy who knows this language. Looks like Amuwoc is some kind of an idiot who brags before people who visit the site. Although it is understandable when a guy brags about his real achievements. But when he brags about his falsified achievements all I have to say is that this guy doesn't respect himself. He says something like "I succesfully defend honour of our clan on the tournaments" and other people cheer him. Don't know how to convert this statement into English correctly. Another funny thing is that some guys asked him to share the replays and he promised to upload them someday. He said that Tex had replays and Tex hasn't sent them to him yet due the difference of the time zone. What about their 1 v 1 Winter Cup? It is still going on and it has delayed, I will explain why later. I noticed yet another funny thing about that. The members of the clan that participate in this "tournament" have "had" their games only against non-russian guys, purely because it is easier to falsify results like that. And the only guy from the side (not a member of the clan) is Pyroman, I know him, by the way. He has been playing only against those members of the clan who participate. He has been winning by far. And those guys "won" against Riku, Tex etc (falsified results). What do we have? The final will be between Amuwoc and Pyroman. The prize is supposed to be pretty huge. 750 euro for the first place. Noisy and Riku will be streaming the final Amuwoc said. People asked for the link to this stream. This time these idiots have failed to get their cheap false glory. Nobody will be streaming the final, they have no money, Pyroman should not have gone through to the final. It was supposed to be a final between two clan members that know the trick. But Pyroman has made his way to the final. What are they going to do? They will lie again and they will try to stifle the tournament. A lie begets a lie. They have already given a stupid reason why the tournament has delayed. Well, if you are interested in more details I will try to keep you informed. I'll be looking for new messages there, let's see how he will slip out from the situation he has created.

lollololooolotrollolololol

I was in a lobby with Amuwoc a week or so ago, the host wanted to kick him because he seemed new but he said he was "2nd best ork besides Tex" so we let him stay. 5 minutes into the game he got stomped by a strike squad and rage quit. :|

Thinking about this, maybe they asked people for money for the prize pool for this tournament? Maybe they are scamming the russian dow community?

I'd say that the guys who "played" this tournament should call Amuwoc out on his bullshit.

Fake Russian tournaments

Postby Nurland » Tue 18 Feb, 2014 7:11 pm

Hmmm... A couple days ago a russian dude offered this deal to me and hakon separately via steam private chat (we both respectfully declined).

Anyway, he offered us money if we played against this Pyroman dude and won a 1v1 Bo3. Not sure if it has anything to do with this.

And thx for the translation Sub_Zero

Yea this is just hilarious(ly sad). This amucew guy somehow ended up on my friends list, said he was some pro from back in the glory days of dow2 by the name of rosen. This I very much doubted because he kept doing stupid shit like going 4x guardsmen vs eldar and asking how to bind hotkeys in the game. Anyway, a few days later the started spamming me on steam asking if I could play some dude named pyroman in 1v1. I declined but he kept insisting and starting begging me and even offering money multiple times. At this point I got really annoyed and removed him but I bet it had something to do with this but no idea for what reason.

Amuwoc added me too and claimed to be Rosen (who actually was a pr0 apo in the past), and since his english skills were just as bad as Amuwoc's I didn't doubt him at the time.

With this shit tho I dunno... and he seems to have deleted me from his list so can't link the profile. Oh and he made a thread back then. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=574

I remember being on the teamspeak Server talking to uncle Milty when a guy joined us and claimed to be Rosen warrior or something like that.

Riku was in another Channel where it is Not possible to speak and this guy asked us how to get in contact with Riku; he seemed to be under pressure or äs he needs to hurry. We advised him to try out a pm.

What the hell is going on :?

Nobody understands... But I suppose I'll put up a notification on the main page just out of principle, maybe Steam group news/announcements over it, and let GR know as well (is Asmon still involved with that?)
