Yeah I had that problem on my brother's laptop and for the longest time could;t figure out why it wouldn't load. Apparently there's some first-run initialization the vanilla client does that makes the mod runnable.

I cant seem to download the 2.2 beta patch 3; it says its unavailable.
Any means of getting the patch 3 so that I can be fully updated for the Elite Mod Beta?

Scroll down the releases subforum a little bit and get yourself 2.3 RC1 instead :)
