Catachan Devils

The Catachan Jungle Fighters are the members of Imperial Guard regiments that have been recruited from the Death World of Catachan. They have the well-deserved reputation of being the deadliest practitioners of jungle warfare in the galaxy. Extremely resourceful and uncompromising warriors, the natives of Catachan recruited into the Imperial Guard are deadly melee fighters, equipped with specialised close combat blades, along with grenade launchers and close range shotguns.

Melee Resistance Aura

This unit takes 40% less damage from melee weapons. Passive ability.

Camouflage

After 4 seconds of remaining still and not attacking, the squad becomes infiltrated until it is active again or detected. Passive ability. Requires the Sarge upgrade.

Explosive Shot
50

Fires a concussive shotgun shell, doing 1000 courage damage, 20 rending damage and weapon knockback in a 90 degree, 20 radius cone. Range 20, cooldown 50 seconds.

Ol' Unreliable
50

Fires a volley of three grenades that each deal up to 40 grenade shot pvp damage in a radius 4. Ol' Unreliable does weapon knockback to all targets in radius 5. Maximum range 55, minimum range 15, cooldown 30 seconds.

Improvised Explosives
60

The Demolition Man arms a remote bomb, which is infiltrated once set up. When detonated, the bomb does 65 detonation damage and ability knockback in radius 3 and a further 120 detonation damage in radius 6. Cooldown 60 seconds.

Smoke Grenade
40

Throws a smoke grenade that covers a radius 10 area for 10 seconds, reducing received ranged damage by 50% and lowering received suppression by 100%. Range 30, cooldown 20 seconds.

Demolition Man  | T1

Increases the squad members' maximum hp by 25. Also grants the Smoke Grenade ability and the Improvised Explosives ability. Equipped automatically when the squad is spawned.

Sarge  | T2

Add the 'Sarge' to the Devils unit. The Sarge has 200 health, takes up 2 population, and carries a melta gun (22.65 melta DPS), effective against all targets. He also provides +5 melee skill and grants the Camouflage ability, which allows the Devils to infiltrate after standing still for 4 seconds.
