Chaos Space Marines

“War without end!”

Potentially more specialised and offensive than their Loyalist counterparts, Chaos Space Marines can be dedicated to a particular Chaos God through their marks. Combined with Worship they can turn the tide of an engagement early on, and retain usefulness throughout the battle.

Battle Regeneration

While in battle, Chaos Marines' health regeneration increases by 1 hp/s (from 0.5 to 1.5 hp/s). Passive ability. Requires the Mark of Khorne upgrade.

Slaughter

The Chaos Space Marine's enter a frenzied state, dealing 20% more ranged damage and gaining the ability to switch to close combat weapons at will. When equipped with melee weapons, the squad gains 1.5 hp/s health regeneration while in combat, +10 melee skill and a range 12 melee charge. Lasts 25 seconds. 120 second cooldown. Requires the Aspiring Champion Upgrade, and is removed when the squad is upgraded with the Mark of Tzeentch or Mark of Khorne.

Permanently increases the melee and ranged damage output of the squad by 20%.

Mark of Khorne  | T2

Changes the squad's weaponry to mighty chainaxes (30.77 power melee DPS) and plasma pistols (7.82 plasma DPS), and equips the Aspiring Champion with a Melta pistol (5.41 Melta DPS), effective against all targets. The squad gains +10 MS, 20% hp, +1 speed, and is granted the Battle Fury ability, giving them 1 hp/s health regen while in combat. Squad is immobile while upgrading.

Followers of Tzeentch wield inferno bolters (18.15 inferno DPS, 22 melee DPS), which are effective against heavy armor, and equips the Aspiring Champion with a Demonic plasma gun (18.88 Plasma DPS). Squad is immobile while upgrading.

An Aspiring Champion with heavy_infantry armor and 400 health comes to lead the squad. 11.47 piercing DPS, 34.62 melee DPS.
