Well the lore is made to enhance the table top game which is canon. The DoW computer games are based off the table top so in this case canon has a lot to do with. Isn't melta bombs a human weapon? When the orbital indicator appears even if it misses any sane opponent will then do their best to move, so even if you miss the beams you still scare them into moving somewhere. There's no reason to make such a drastic buff to the global. It has it's own uses in snaring an infantry army while your own forces get some extra damage as well as being able to destroy buildings/fortifications with precision. So I recently had a bug where my tactical marine squad got stuck in a bunker due to the sergeant being purchased and finished training in the bunker. Once the sergeant appeared the squad could no longer shoot or exit the bunker until the sergeant was eventually killed.

What's the reasoning behind making GK terminators and paladins cost less to reinforce than SM/Chaos terminators?
